BRIENSBURG — Mr. and Mrs. Jackie English of Briensburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at a later date.

Mr. English and the former Stephenie Kay Walston were married May 25, 1962, by Orville Washam at his home in Paducah. Their attendants were the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Davelene and Bobby Putteet.

Mrs. English is the secretary at Briensburg Church of Christ. She is the daughter of the late Dave and Evelene Lamb Walston.

Mr. English is semi-retired from Collier Construction and is a member of Operating Engineers Local 181. He is the son of the late Mable English Wood and the late James English.

They have two children: Tracy English Trigleth of Athens, Ga., and James Todd English of Benton; and two granddaughters.
