David and Mary Ann Crowder of Mayfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Maureen Crowder, to Kody Austin Hopwood, son of Matt and Karen Harper of Hickory.

Miss Crowder is the granddaughter of Jerry and Margaret Walston of Pilot Oak, Joan Crowder of Hopkinsville, and Bennett and Nan Crowder of Knoxville, Tenn. She is a 2007 graduate of Mayfield High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in middle school education in 2011 from Murray State University. She is employed by the Graves County Board of Education as a substitute teacher and the Graves County Middle School girls soccer team coach

Mr. Hopwood is the grandson of Jim and Phyllis Franklin of Reidland. He is a 2008 graduate of Graves County High School and is a May candidate for graduation with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mid-Continent University. He is employed by First Kentucky Bank in Mayfield.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 2:30 p.m. May 19 at Liberty Baptist Church in Hickory. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
