Betty Ray Hendricks of Paducah announces the engagement of her daughter, Mary Lee Hendricks, to Jeffrey Neal Cooper, son of Jimmy and Jane Cooper of La Center.

Miss Hendricks is also the daughter of the late James C. Hendricks. She is the granddaughter of the late Jim and Mary Ray, and the late Calvin and Athel Hendricks. She is a graduate of Reidland High School in Paducah and earned a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Murray State University. She is employed by the McCracken County Board of Education.

Mr. Cooper is the grandson of Doris Cooper of La Center and the late Neal Cooper, and the late J.W. and Joan Allen. He is a graduate of Ballard Memorial High School in La Center and earned a degree in agricultural science from Murray State University. He is self-employed.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 1 p.m. May 12 at Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited.
