“The Five-Year Engagement”
Tom and Violet have been engaged for five years, and their relationship has its ups and downs. Will they finally make it to the altar?
The buzz: I love Jason Segal, so the fact that he is in another romantic comedy with producer Judd Apatow means there will be a return to the laughter of “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” Segal had a hand in the screenplay for this one too.
Showing at: Cinemark
Length: 124 minutes
Show times: 1:20 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“The Raven”
A string of murders follows Edgar Allan Poe’s writing, and Poe must team with a detective to solve the case.
The buzz: I have never envisioned Poe in this role, and I still don’t think it fit him well. But the story overall is interesting, and at least keeps your mind guessing.
Playing at: Cinemark
Length: 111 minutes
Show times: 11:40 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 4:50 p.m., 7:25 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Why Quilts Matter”
Four parts of a nine-part series on quilting by documentary film maker Shelly Zegart.
Showing at: Maiden Alley Cinema
Length: 45 minutes each.
Show times: The Quilt Makers - Friday & Saturday at 6 p.m.
Gee’s Bend: The Most Famous Quilts in America - Saturday at 6 p.m.

“Bully”
The controversial documentary that the nation is talking about takes a look at bullying in all its glory.
The buzz: Go see it. Take your kids. Sure there is graphic language. Sure there are some uncomfortable moments.
But it needs to be seen, and you should take the initiative to do so.
Showing at: Maiden Alley Cinema
Show times: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
