METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tockstein of Metropolis celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

Mr. Tockstein and the former Betty J. Krebel were married April 19, 1952, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Ill., by the Rev. Elmer Holtgrave. Their attendants were Donald Melliere and Norma Krebel.

Mrs. Tockstein is a retired nurse’s aide. She is the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruby Krebel.

Mr. Tockstein is a retired warehouse foreman for Allied Chemical. He is the son of the late Wilfrid and Catherine Tockstein.

They have seven children: Donna Coons of Benton, Ill., David Tockstein of Decatur, Ill., Debbie Tockstein and Dan Tockstein, both of Metropolis, Dwayne Tockstein of Holly Springs, N.C., Daryl Tockstein of Mayfield, Ky., and Darren Tockstein of Paducah; six grandchildren; and one deceased grandchild.
