Mr. and Mrs. Bob Carr of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ annex building, 2201 Washington St. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Carr and the former Glenda Joyce Hunt were married March 31, 1962, by the Rev. Merle D. Thomas  at Aldersgate Methodist Church. Their attendants were Kay Daniels and Bill Carr.

Mrs. Carr is the daughter of the late Lindsay William “Bill” and Letha Peck Hunt.

Mr. Carr retired in 1988 as a captain with the Paducah Police Department and retired in 2004 as chief of security at Western Baptist Hospital. He is the son of the late Ernest Odell and Sarah Riley Carr.

They have two sons: Brian Carr of Sedalia, Mo., and Darryl Carr of Benton; and three grandchildren.
