BROOKPORT, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie G. Wilder of Brookport recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Wilder and the former Juanita Reynolds were married Jan. 19, 1947, at First Baptist Church in Brookport with the Rev. Tellis Young officiating. Their attendants were Mary Russell and Brack Paris Jr.

Mrs. Wilder is a retired Brookport postmaster. She is the daughter of the late Mandy and Harlan “Judge” Reynolds.

Mr. Wilder served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1963. He also retired from Acety-Arc Welding Supplies Inc. of Paducah. He is the son of the late Edith and Dan Wilder.

They have two daughters: Jan Wilder and Jeri Ann Hall, both of Brookport; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
