Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rudesill of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Blair Michele Rudesill, to Kip Cole Mathis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary McManus of Smithland and the late Philip Mathis.

Miss Rudesill is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Phillips of Winter Haven, Fla., the late Billy Don Ricks and the Rev. and Mrs. Norvill Rudesill of Paducah. She is a 2006 graduate of Marshall County High School and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is an alumna of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and is employed by the Marshall County School System.

Mr. Mathis is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Ward, the late Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Mathis, Mr. and Mrs. Martin W. Johnson of Benton, and Mary Powell of Paducah. He is a 1998 graduate of Marshall County High School, a 2002 graduate of Murray State University and a 2007 graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He is an attorney with the law firm of Johnson and Mathis.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at Lovett Auditorium in Murray.
