Here’s the problem: I love fish, but I don’t know how to cook it. My solution? Make it the same way you did when you were in third grade. Fish stick tacos are simple, but the taste and the toppings make them quirky to dinner guests, not tacky. I have served fish stick tacos for most of my informal gatherings, from movie nights with a few friends to football parties with up to 10 people. They are fun and cheap, something that doesn’t come along very often these days.

INGREDIENTS

1 box of fish sticks

1 box of hard taco shells

1 jar of salsa

1 package of shredded cheddar cheese

1 small container of sour cream

  1. Fish sticks: Follow the directions on the box. Most fish sticks cook at 350 degrees for anywhere from 15 to 18 minutes.

2. The shells: To get taco shells to the perfect crunch, place on a baking pan and put in the oven at the same temperature as the fish sticks. This should take only three minutes so pay attention.

3. Serve: Once they are cooked, lay fish sticks on a plate with a paper towel under them to absorb any excess grease. Serve two fish sticks to a taco, and let your guests customize their plates.
