Dr. Catherine Emily Durbin and Dr. Brian Michael Hicks were united in marriage May 28 at the home of the bride’s parents with Michael E. Hicks of Jackson, Mich., father of the groom, officiating. Music was provided by Jeremy Hake of Ontario, Canada, cellist. Readings were given by Elizabeth Hayden of Ontario.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Durbin of Paducah. Grandparents of the bride are Richard A. Durbin of Paducah and the late Helen Durbin, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cash.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Sherry A. Herald of Sheridan, Mich., and Michael E. Hicks. Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walsh, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hicks.

Serving as attendants for the bride and groom were Tyler Durbin, Keegan Durbin and McKenzie Durbin, all of St. Louis; Ella Crider, Caroline Crider and Michael Crider, all of Paducah; and Dylan Wagar, Dominic Wagar and Abby Wagar, all of Leslie, Mich.

A reception followed.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of State University of New York at Stony Brook with a doctorate in clinical psychology. She is employed by Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a doctorate in clinical psychology. He is employed by the University of Michigan in Ann Abor.

They reside in Williamston, Mich.
