Ashley Lynne Carpenter and Stephen Ray Long were united in marriage May 21 at Leilanee’s Wedding Garden with the Rev. Kempton Baldridge officiating.

The bride is the daughter of George and Angie Carpenter of West Paducah, and Robert and Judith Hedden of Benton.

The groom is the son of Stephen and Jan Long of Sharonville, Ohio, and the late Patricia Ann Long.

The bride chose Mrs. Kimberly Clark of Nashville, Tenn., as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Laura Cooper Cochran of New Orleans; Ms. Ashley Hargrove of Wickliffe; Mrs. Nannette Swinford of Nashville; and Miss Katelyn Long of Sharonville. Miss Tarryn Story, daughter of Justin and Marrisa Turner of Benton and J. Story of Paducah, served as flower girl.

The groom chose Joseph Wesselman of Cincinnati as his best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Miller of Blue Ridge, Ga.; Andrew Starnes of St. Louis; Jaison Kurian of Atlanta; and Charles Morris of Blue Springs, Mo. Serving as ushers were James Transano of Ava, Mo., and Griffin Terpstra of Chicago.

A reception followed. Rhiannon McIntosh of Benton attended the guest register.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and a 2007 graduate of Mid-Continent University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She is pursuing a master’s degree in business management, human resource management and organizational leadership from Capella University.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Princeton High School in Sharonville and served in the U.S. Air Force from 2000 to 2007. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the American Military University and serves in the U.S. Coast Guard.

The couple reside in West Paducah.
