Russell and Jonda Smith of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Staci Deanne Smith, to Christopher Steven Starnes, son of Charlie and Theresa Angle of Benton.

Miss Smith is the granddaughter of John and Rosie Walker of Benton, Tony Smith of Benton and the late Farrell Smith. She is a 2000 graduate of Marshall County High School in Benton and earned an associate degree in office systems in 2003 from Paducah Community College. She is employed by Heartland Rehabilitation in Paducah.

Mr. Starnes is the grandson of Jimmy and Bonnie Seaford of Benton. He is a 2004 graduate of Marshall County High School and is employed by James Marine Inc. in Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at First Christian Church in Benton. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
