GILBERTSVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lynn Crews of Gilbertsville, formerly of Paducah, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip.

Mr. Crews and the former Cliftene “Tina” Champion were married Oct. 6, 1961, by the Rev. Orville Washam at the home of the bride in Reidland. Their attendants were Karen Pitt Reed and Jerry Sullivan.

Mrs. Crews is a retired registered nurse from Western Baptist Hospital and works part-time at the Marshall County Health Department in Benton. She is the daughter of Mrs. Lala Holt Reed of Gilbertsville and the late Clifton Champion.

Mr. Crews is a retired supervisor for Martin Marietta. He is the son of the late Bernard and Orene Crews.

They have one son, Steven Douglas Crews of Atlanta.
