DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. — Michaela Renae Flowers and Austin James Butterbaugh were united in marriage May 29 on Dauphin Island. The Rev. Cecil Jackson officiated and music was provided by acoustic guitarist and vocalist, Michael Bustamante of Detroit.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Flowers of Lincoln, Neb.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Butterbaugh of Paducah. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Butterbaugh of Wickliffe, Ky., and Arthur Meyer of Farmington, Mo.
The bride chose Ms. Sarah Gross of Spokane, Wash., as her matron of honor. The bride’s sisters, Sarah Lottman of Tulsa, Okla., and Melissa Hernandez of Lincoln, served as bridesmaids. The flower girl was Miss Brianne Lottman.
The groom chose Thomas Thurman of Orlando, Fla., as his best man. Groomsmen were Jarod Blanchette of Chicago and Jonny Erickson of Paducah. The groom’s brothers, Adam Butterbaugh, Eric Butterbaugh and Sean Butterbaugh, all of Paducah, served as ushers.
A reception followed at the Isle Dauphin Country Club. A local wedding celebration was held Sept. 3 at the St. John’s Knights of Columbus Hall.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lincoln High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. She is employed as a media planner at SPM Marketing and Communications in La Grange, Ill.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah. He earned a degree in finance and real estate at Marquette University and is employed as an account manager at CDW in Chicago.
The couple resides in La Grange.
