Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Severns of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Italy and a party with family and friends at Max’s restaurant in Paducah.

Mr. Severns and the former Linda Sue Nuckols were married Sept. 9, 1961, at Reidland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joan Havely. Their attendants were Marty McGrew Dewitt and Thomas M. Severns.

Mrs. Severns is a retired English teacher at Reidland High School. She is the daughter of the late John E. and Mary Susan Nuckols.

Mr. Severns is a certified public accountant and a retired partner at Williams, Williams and Lentz. He is employed as the controller at Pebco Industries in Paducah. He is the son of Blanche Severns of Paducah and the late Thomas L. Severns.

They have three children: Lisa Severns Escue of Trophy Club, Texas, Scott Severns of Paducah and Stuart Severns of Knoxville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
