Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eugene Alvey of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of First Christian Church, 415 Audubon Drive. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Alvey and the former Judith Ann Boyle were married Sept. 1, 1961, by the Rev. George Coleman at Park Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tenn. Their attendants were Mary Boyle and Don McGinness.

Mrs. Alvey is employed as a church nursery worker. She is the daughter of the late Gerald and Mildred Boyle.

Mr. Alvey is a retired director for WPSD-TV. He is the son of the late Clarence and Bernadyne Alvey.

They are the parents of Ronald Cary Alvey of Paducah.
