SYMSONIA — Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lampley of Symsonia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Lampley and the former Tilda Flood were married Aug. 25, 1961, by the Rev. Howell Spees at his home in Fremont. Their attendants were Patsy Hutchens Tubbs and Russell Tubbs.

Mrs. Lampley is retired from Western Baptist Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Esther and Hoy Flood.

Mr. Lampley is retired from the McCracken County School System. He is the son of the late Lerah and Robert Lampley.

They have two children: Crystal Farlee of Paducah and Doug Lampley of Symsonia. They have one grandson.
