Beverly Nelson of Paducah announces the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Ann Nelson, to Russell O’Neill Turner, son of Dianna Dostica Turner and Brad Turner, both of Golconda, Ill.

Miss Nelson is also the daughter of the late Larry G. Sweatt. She is the granddaughter of Anna Nelson of Paducah and the late Thomas Nelson, and Mable Sweatt of Paducah and the late Charles Sweatt. She is a 2001 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Paducah Community College. She is employed as branch manager at C-Plant Federal Credit Union in Paducah.

Mr. Turner is the grandson of John and Joyce O’Neill of Addison, Ill., and Avery Turner of Golconda, Ill., and the late Georgia Turner. He is a 2000 graduate of Pope County High School in Golconda and is employed by Larry Stovesand GMC of Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Wilson Stage at Paducah’s downtown riverfront. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
