MURRAY — Miss Erin Gray Butler and Mr. Joshua Mikel Pugh were married on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Westside Baptist Church in Murray. The Rev. Glynn Orr officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Daniel and Teresa Butler of Murray. She is the granddaughter of Viola Butler and the late Walter Butler of Ashland, Ky., and Gladys Mitchell and the late Taylor Mitchell of Fayetteville, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Mikel and Cindy Pugh of Reidland. He is the grandson of the late Elizabeth and Guy Pugh and Dovie Jarvis and the late Graydon Jarvis, all of Reidland.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with a dipped neckline and corset closure. Rows of draped beaded lines lay on top of the embellished lace bodice, which dropped slightly below the waist. The tulle skirt revealed ruffled lace that coordinated with the bodice. The bride wore a large vintage diamond and pearl pendant on a strand of oversized ivory pearls given to her by her mother. She carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses adorned with crystal centers in a large arrangement of Christmas greenery.

The maid and matron of honor were the bride’s sisters, Taylor Butler of Murray and Kelly Townsend of Florence, Ala. Bridesmaids were Megan Logue of Benton and Natalie Lyons of Murray. Each carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses with crystal centers.

The groom wore a black tuxedo, black vest and silver tie with a boutonniere made of Christmas holly and red berries that coordinated with the bride’s bouquet. The best man was Brandon Cayton of Benton. Other groomsmen were Corey and Daniel Pugh, brothers of the groom, both of Reidland, and Kurt Fryberger, friend of the groom, of Paducah.

Ushers were Jay Townsend, brother-in-law of the bride, of Florence, Ala., and Denver Moss, friend of the bride, of Murray. The groom’s attendants and ushers wore black tuxedos, black vests and red ties. Their boutonniere’s matched the groom’s.

Haley Garrison, cousin of the groom, of Reidland and Layla Townsend, niece of the bride, of Florence, Ala., were flower girls. The ringbearer was Landon Townsend, nephew of the bride, of Florence, Ala.

Music was provided by Dorothy Rogers, pianist. The bride’s sisters performed a duet of “Feels Like Home.” Other selections by Trans Siberian Orchestra were also performed.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom walked out underneath a cascade of sparklers. They left in a red stretch Hummer limousine for a reception at the Maple Center in Murray.

A beautiful rehearsal dinner was provided by the groom’s parents at Westside Baptist Church. On the wedding day, a bridal breakfast was given by DeAnn and Claire Barnett of Murray.

The couple honeymooned in Keystone, Colorado, at the Keystone Lodge and Spa. They now reside in Nashville, Tenn., where the groom is employed at Baptist Hospital by Emergency Physicians of Nashville and the bride is in school working on her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist degree.
