Mr. and Mrs. David Cartwright of Fairfax Station, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Charlesworth Cartwright, to Matthew James Crittenden, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Crittenden of Kiln, Miss.

Miss Cartwright is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Loren E. Klaus of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. William Cartwright of Metropolis, Ill. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., and a third-year law student at the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Mr. Crittenden is a 2009 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a third-year law student at the University of Mississippi School of Law.

A July 30 wedding is planned at Gari Melcher’s Belmont Estate in Fredericksburg, Va.
