BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Reece Collins of Benton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. today at New Bethel Baptist Church, 4045 Mayfield Hwy., Benton. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Collins and the former Edna Johnson were married June 23, 1961, at Unity Church in Hardin by the Rev. Joe Gardner. Their attendants were Donna Jones and Billy Joe Lovett.

Mrs. Collins is retired from the Bank of Marshall County. She is the daughter of Howard Johnson of Benton and the late Estelle Johnson.

Mr. Collins is retired from Overnite Transportation. He is the son of the late Horace and Mira Collins.

They have four children: Jeff Collins, Monti Collins and Misti Poe, all of Benton, and Kevin Collins of Metropolis, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
