Dr. and Mrs. Bradley McElroy of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Kaye McElroy, to Connor Andrew Ojard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Ojard of Spanish Fort, Ala.

Miss McElroy is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gwen Thomas of Paducah and the late William Thomas, and Dr. and Mrs. Wayne McElroy of Paducah. She is a 2007 graduate of Paducah Tilghman sports_high_school and a 2011 magna cum laude graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is an alumna of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Mr. Ojard is the grandson of Mrs. Lois Loomer and Phillip Holbeck, both of Two Harbors, Minn., Mrs. Marion Thomas of Spanish Fort, and the late Adolph Ojard Sr. He is a 2007 graduate of Daphne sports_high_school in Daphne, Ala., and a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is attending the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and is an alumnus of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Wedding vows will be exchanged June 4 at First Baptist Church of Paducah.
