MURRAY — Mr. and Mrs. J.R. “Jim” and Evelyn Story of Murray celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 28.

Mr. Story and the former Evelyn Franklin were married April 28, 1951, by the Rev. Charles A. Wingo at West Fork Baptist Church in Murray. Their attendants were Randolph Story and Sara Story Johnson.

Mrs. Story is retired from Lad & Lassie Children’s Shop. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and Rosa Mai Franklin.

Mr. Story retired from Martin Marietta with more than 38 years’ service. He is the son of the late Festus and Donnye Story.

They have two children: Ralph Story of Murray and Richard Story of the Cuba community; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
