Five area baseball players were named to the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association’s All-State teams.

McCracken County senior and Kentucky signee Rook Ellington and Murray State-bound left-handed pitcher/first baseman Shane Burns led the group, as members of the First Team.

Calloway County’s Lofton Pigg, Caldwell County’s Jase Ryan Felker and Graves County’s Jordyn Naranjo were all Honorable Mention.

Highlands pitcher Drew Rom, a fourth-round pick of the Baltimore Orioles, was named Mr. Baseball.
