BASEBALL: The Murray-Calloway Co. Parks and Recreation Department is accepting entries for a fall adult (18-over) recreational co-ed slowpitch softball league. The league will be governed by NSA rules with a few local modifications and is limited to the first 12 teams to enter. Season starts on September 2 and runs through October 26 with a 10-game regular season and post-season double-elimination tourney. Team entry fee is $425. GOLF: Kenny Perry and Russ Cochran will host their annual Tour Players Charity Scramble to benefit Paxton Park and Junor Golf on September 9 at Paxton Park. Entry fee is $150 per player. Each player gets two rounds of golf, a clinic hosted by Perry and Cochran, lunch catered by Texas Roadhouse, a chance at a $10,000 hole-in-one plus other hold pprizes.
