BASEBALL: The Paducah Storm 14-under baseball team will hold tryouts for the 2015 season at Mike Miller Park (Field 4) in Draffenville from 2 to 5 p.m. this Sunday. Players may not turn 15 before April 30, 2015. For more information, contact Dax Myhand at 270-703-3452.

BASEBALL: The West Kentucky Outlaws 9-under baseball team will hold a tryout for the 2015 season at Lone Oak Youth Baseball fields at 9 a.m. on August 2. For further nformation, e-mail westkyoutlaws@att.net

BASEBALL: The 10-under Paducah Storm baseball team will hold tryouts for the 2015 season at the Lone Oak girls softball field from 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 10. For further information, call Jared Aldridge at 270-331-7040 or John Sims at 270-556-2433.

BOWLING: The Paducah Women's Bowling Association will meet to elect officers and directors at 3 p.m. on August 3 at Cardinal Lanes Strike and Spare. Their first meeting of the 2014-15 season will take place August 17, also with a 3 p.m. start time at Cardinal Lanes Strike and Spare.

GOLF: Silos Country Club will host The Silos Senior Summer Challenge onThursday . It is for seniors 55 and older and will be flighted after play. Entry fee is $35 and includes cart. Call  270-488-2182 to reserve a spot for a single or a group. Tee times will be between 10 a.m. to noon.

GOLF: Oak Hill Country Club will host the Kings of the Hill two-man scramble on August 16-17. Entry fee is $120 per team with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. For further information, call Oak Hill Country Club at 270-653-6001 or Trent Johnson at 270-254-1091.

GOLF: The Banterra Bank Greater Paducah Amateur Championships will take place August 16-17 at Paxton Park. Entry fee is $95 and forms are available at the pro shop. For further information, call 270-444-9514.

SOFTBALL: The 2014 Special Olympics West Kentucky Regional Softball Championships will take place at the Lone Oak Ballpark on August 9.  The tournament is seeking sponsors, volunteers, and donations.  Anyone interested in helping can contact Joel Speer at 270-210-6390. .

TENNIS: The Paducah Area Tennis Association will hold a free 18-and-over tennis play day on August 2, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Chad Gamble Tennis Courts at Paducah Tilghman High School. For more information, call Brad Gordon at 502-491-1290.

SOFTBALL: Open tryouts for the Downstate Rippers Softball Organization will take place August 3 at Ray Fosse Park in Marion, Ill. for teams 8-under through 18-under. For further information, go to www.downstaterippers.com.

BASEBALL: Murray-Calloway Co. Parks are hosting two upcoming youth baseball tournaments in Murray for all-star and travel teams. The 13th Annual Back to School Bash is August 1-3. The tournaments are open for age divisions 7u through 17u. The WKI is an unsanctioned event and the BTSB is USSSA sanctioned. Entry fee is $150 for machine pitch (7u and 8u) and $175 for all other divisions.
