TENNIS: The Paducah Tennis Association will hold a four-week, adult-beginner clinic followed by four weeks of match play. The clinic will take place at the Chad Gamble Tennis Center at Paducah Tilghman High School from 9:30-11 a.m. The clinic dates are June 21 and 28, July 12 and 19. The match play dates are TBA. GOLF: Silos Country Club will host the 16th annual Mid America Junior Golf Classic on July 9-10. It is a 36-hole event for boys 10-18 and girls 13-18. Feet is $65 and includes practice round, lunch and player gifts. For more information and an application, call 270-488-2182
SOCCER: Graves County High School girls' soccer practice begins July 15. BOWLING: The Paducah Men's Bowling Association will have its mid-year meeting on June 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Cardinal Lanes Strike and Spare. Officers and directors will be elected and all members are encouiraged to attend.
BASEBALL: College Prep Baseball & Advisors will hold tryouts for the 2014 baseball season for players between 16-17 years of age. TRACK: Pure-Speed and speed coach Josh Abner will host the first speed camp in the Paducah area at McCracken County High Schools track complex on June 21 from 12 to 3 p.m. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of speed training and the importance of training fast to increase speed. GOLF: The annual Kenn-Tenn golf tournament at Fulton Country Club will be held June 28-29. This year's event is its 75th. Prizes, a free gift, trophies and free food for the golfers will be provided Saturday and Sunday and a party will be held Saturday night. Golf carts are available for rent or you can bring your own. FOOTBALL: Graves County students who will be in grades K-6 for the 2014-15 school year can attend the Future Eagle Football Camp free-of-charge between 5-8 p.m. July 21, and Aug. 1, at the Graves County High School football field. Eagle head coach Lance Gregory leads the camp staff. All campers get a free camp tee-shirt. Snacks and water will be provided as well. Campers may preregister by mail or on the first day of camp. Liability and release forms must be signed the first day of camp. Parents and guardians must be on-site to sign their children into camp both days.
