Humphrey gets BioKinetics Athlete of Year

Karlee Humphrey has been named BioKinetics Athlete of the Year. Humphrey, a junior, is a starter in basketball and softball at Paducah Tilghman.

Humphrey led the Lady Tornado to a 23-9 record and a district championship in basketball. She averaged 20.3 points per game and was the leading scorer in the region, had seven rebounds per game and had a field goal percentage of 50 percent. She surpassed the 1,000-point mark and 500 rebounds in December. Humphrey was selected to the Paducah Sun All-Purchase Team, the district and regional tournament teams, and was honorable mention on the All-State Girls Basketball Team.

In softball, Humphrey was also the leading hitter for the team with a batting average of .500. She had three home runs, three triples and eight doubles, scored 31 runs, and had 21 RBIs. As a pitcher she was 13-2, leading the softball team to a 23-7 record, which was the best in school history. Tilghman advanced to regional competition, where she was named to the All-District and All-Regional Softball Teams.
