Tilghman scores late to defeat Calloway

At Murray, Nathan Hawkins singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth for Paducah Tilghman in a 3-1 win over Calloway County on Thursday.

Miles Butler scored the tying run for the Tornado in the sixth and singled home an insurance score in the seventh.

Crittenden 6, Trigg 4 - At Cadiz, Devin Belt doubled home two runs in the second to help Crittenden County defeat Trigg County and clinch the top seed in the upcoming Fifth District tournament. Brenden Phillips was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rockets.

Massac 10, A-J 5 - At Metropolis, Massac rallied after giving up a two run homer to Anna-Jonesboro in the first to take the lead with three runs in the third, then blew the game open in the fourth with six runs. The Wildcats committed three of their five errors in the third to help the Patriots.

Brittany McFall tallied the win for Massac County; Mikayla Dammerman got the loss for Anna-Jonesboro.

Calloway 6, Graves 5 - At Murray, Graves County pitcher Casey Wade was one out away from a no-hitter when Calloway County struck back hard and frequently for the comeback triumph.

The Lakers put four hits together that scored three runs to tie it and force extra innings. The Eagles scored twice in the eighth off doubles by Wade and Lindsey Whitlock. In Calloway's half of the eighth, Ashlyn Stalls doubled to put runners on second and third. Kelsey Douglas singled to right to score both to tie it again. Kristen Kelly then doubled to right-center to bring Douglas home with the game-winner. Whitlock and Kaylynn Jackson both went 2-for-4 for Graves.
