Eagles get past Massac

At Mayfield, Graves County extended its winning streak to 15 games on Tuesday, but needed a strong sixth inning to overcome Massac County 9-7 on Tuesday.

The Eagles scored six runs in the first, but the Patriots tacked on five of their own in the second. The score was 6-all in the bottom of the sixth when Tanner Smith tripled Eamon Hannan home. Smith would score when Peyton Puckett hit into a fielder's choice.

Smith, Puckett and Christian Gough each had two hits and two RBIs for Graves. Puckett also pitched the final two innings for his third win of the year. Dalton Mitchell was 2-for-5 with two RBIs for Massac.
