Massac's late rally helps defeat Seneca

Staff report

At Metropolis, Massac County used three runs in the bottom of the sixth Tuesday to beat Seneca 7-5 in Tuesday's high school baseball.

Jay Benard's double with two outs in bottom of the sixth led to the victory. Dalton Mitchell went the distance to get the win and improve to 1-1 on the season.

Carlisle 13, Fulton Co. 3 - At Bardwell, Ethan Weatherspoon stole three bases and pitched four innings of no-hit ball as Carlisle County downed Fulton County in six innings of First District baseball. Bailey Morefield led the Comets offense by going 3-for-4 with four RBI, while Michael Thomason was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
