Murray High School has reportedly found its next head football coach.
The Dresden (Tenn.) Enterprise reported that Dresden High School football coach Keith Hodge will become the Tigers' head coach. Murray is hosting a news conference this afternoon to announce its next coach.
If hired, Hodge would replace Steve Duncan, who resigned in January and accepted a position with Logan County. Duncan went 63-16 in six seasons with the Tigers, who lost in the KHSAA Class 2A state tournament semifinals last fall to eventual champion DeSales.
Hodge went 18-6 and made the TSSAA Class 2A playoffs during his two seasons at Dresden. He told the Enterprise that Murray contacted him about the position over Christmas break and that leaving Dresden was a difficult decision.
