Staff report

BASEBALL: Lone Oak Youth Baseball/Softball Association will have registration for new players and those wishing to enter the player draft.  Signups will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on February 22 and March 1 at the boardroom in the Lone Oak Ballpark.  There are boys and girls age divisions from 4 years old through High School.  Fees are $45 for teeball (4 year old); $55 for teeball (5 and 6 year old), and $65 for baseball and softball (all ages).  Registration forms and player release forms can be found on our website: www.LOYBSA.org.

BASKETBALL: All local high school coaches are reminded to send stats to sports@paducahsun.com or fax to 270-442-7859 by noon on Mondays.

BASEBALL: River City Baseball Academy is hosting a four-week baseball camp starting March 1. RCBA baseball coordinator Tim Stewart will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Classes are available for players in grades 1-12 and are limited to six players per coach. Sessions are offered in advanced hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunning.
