On Sunday, 22, at 1:30 p.m., Marshall County United Methodist Youth and Children will gather at the Briensburg UMC Family Life Center to fill 100 food baskets for people in their communities who are in need this Thanksgiving. The group will then deliver the baskets throughout Marshall County.
According to Jenny Darnall, coordinator of the project, food was collected from the Marshall County United Methodist Churches, local scout troops and other sponsors. Funds are needed to help pay for perishable items. Donations should be made payable to the Marshall County UMC Youth and Children, and mailed c/o Briensburg UMC, 1908 Briensburg Rd., Benton, KY 42025.

CrouseStudio/BrokenStone Press will be exhibiting a two-person exhibition of new and past work titled, Works by Erich Neitzke and Tanya Gadbaw. The exhibition will run from November 13th-21st, 2015 with an opening reception November 13th 5:00pm-8:00pm. The gallery will also be opened on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 - 5:00pm.
Erich Neitzke and Tanya Gadbaw both graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with their M.F.A. degrees and now live and work in Brookport, IL.
Erich Neitzke is a printmaker originally from Mount Prospect, IL. His current series, “Ingrained”, investigates the presence felt but yet unseen through pareidolia: the need for the mind to make something meaningful from random information.
Tanya Gadbaw is an oil painter and originally from Great Bend, NY. With the fluidity of oil paint, Tanya explores her mixed heritage thro

KIDS CREATIVE ARTS STREET FAIR ON THE SQUARE!
Join us Saturday, August 22 from 10 AM to 2 PM as we celebrate the creative arts with the Street Fair on the Square! This is the third year for this family activity—co-sponsored by Market House Theatre and The National Quilt Museum —where over a dozen Paducah arts and culture organizations will provide a wide variety of “hands on” experiences!
For the event, Market House Square will be closed on the east side between the MHT Box Office and Yeiser Art Center. Children of all ages may choose between the many booths offering crafts, art, drama, music, games, stories, dance—and—just fun!
In the MHT Theatre will be several interactive sessions for kids featuring creative drama, improv, and performances by the HA! Teen Comedy Improv Troupe.

Join us for the 30th running of the Western Kentucky/Southern Illinois Control Line Stunt Championships (WKSI)Allen Brickhaus Memorial AA Contest. The event will be held on the McCracken County Model Airplane Park located at 501 County Park Road next to the McCracken County soccer fields on August 15th and 16th 2015. Event times are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.
The competition is centered on five skill events plus Old Time Stunt, Profile Stunt, and Nostalgia 30 Stunt.
Old Time Stunt models are those designed, built, published or kitted before the last day of 1952.
Profile Stunt consists of a stunt model with only a narrow profile body and a side mounted engine.
The Nostalgia 30 Stunt event consists of models designed, built, kitted or flown up to thirty years ago.
All models are flown on two steel cables with lengths of 60 to 70 feet long and controlled
