The first notes of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony ring out as runners charge past the starting line, and as maestro Raffaele Ponti of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra waves his baton to begin the second "Beat Beethoven 5K" on Saturday morning at Noble Park. About 175 people took on the challenge of completing the race before Beethoven's Fifth Symphony concluded in hopes of winning tickets to the local orchestra's concert on Saturday night titled "Bach, Bernstein & Harmonica," featuring harmonica player Robert Bonfiglio.
