Lourdes hospital’s Rehab Department celebrates the National Wear Red Day at the hospital on Friday to promote awareness for women’s heart disease and also in recognition of the first day of American Heart Month. The American Heart Association promotes the wear red day to help raise awareness that heart disease is the top killer among women, with about 90 percent of women exhibiting at least one risk factor for developing the disease. Throughout the month of February, local hospitals will sponsor events focused on heart health.
