While there’s no lacking the supplies of fake blood at the local retail store as Halloween nears, the real thing is in constant supply at local hospitals.
The American Red Cross Tennessee Valley Blood Region, serving about 57 hospitals in the region, announced several blood drives throughout the local area to meet the demand for blood and platelets.
Donors may give blood in Paducah throughout the month of October:
n Today, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Kentucky Community & Technical College, 4810 Alben Barkley Dr.
n Friday, 2 to 6 p.m. at Halloween Express, 3430 James-Sanders Blvd.
n Sunday, 11:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Reidland United Methodist Church, 5515 Reidland Dr.
n Wednesday, 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lone Oak Church of Christ, 2960 Lone Oak Rd.
n Oct. 18 and 19, noon to 5 p.m. at Walmart, 3220 Irvin Cobb Dr.
n Oct. 25, noon to 5 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales, 116 S. Sixth St.
