With tens of thousands of dollars raised in an effort to stamp out one of the fastest growing medical disorders, organizers have already coordinated for next year’s Four Rivers Walk to Cure Diabetes.

More than 1,000 pairs of feet from across the local area marched around Noble Park during the 2012 Four Rivers Walk on June 9, raising $85,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, reported Ashley and Tom Shadoan, walk coordinators.

“Your generosity and support allows more money to go toward our mission of finding a cure for diabetes and its complications,” Ashley Shadoan stated.

Next year’s walk is Sept. 14, 2013, at Noble Park.
