MAYFIELD — Wrenn J. Barton, 100, of Mayfield died Monday at his home.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, a retired teacher and principal, and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Webb Barton; three daughters, Peggy Dowdy of Farmington, Patsy Sanderson of Mayfield, and Nancy Odom of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Marie Barton; his daughter, Norma Parsons, and two brothers. His parents were Gifford (Gip) and Grace Melvin Barton.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Byrn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wes Fowler and George Cook officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Park Mausoleum. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
