VIENNA, Ill. — William C. “Bill” Welch, 70, of Vienna died at 4:50 p.m. Friday at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion.

He was employed as a motor coach driver, and had worked as a driver for Southern Seven Head Start and Vienna Grade School. He was a member and chaplain of Vienna Masonic Lodge No. 150 AF&AM, and also was a member of Reevesville Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Waline Krueger Welch; three sons, Steven M. Welch of Gallatin, Tenn., Jeffrey A. Welch of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Todd J. Welch of Hendersonville, Tenn.; four stepchildren, Joseph E. Krueger of Elmhurst, Ill., Debra A. Krueger of Gurnee, Ill., James W. Krueger of Paddock Lake, Wis., and Peggy M. Krueger of Gurnee, Ill.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Susan M. Hickman of Bremen, Ind.; and one brother, Robert J. Welch of Orlando, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Patrick S. Krueger. His parents were William J. and Josephine G. Paulson Welch Barker.

Masonic rites will be accorded at 7 p.m. Monday by Vienna Masonic Lodge No. 150 AF&AM. The funeral will immediately follow the masonic rites. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
