METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. William “Bill” Davidson Jr., age 60, of Metropolis, Ill., formerly of Connecticut, passed away at 9:52 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. The Rev. Alan Milligan will officiate.

Mr. Davidson was retired from Harrah’s Casino in Metropolis.

He is survived by his parents, William and Violet (Sheffer) Davidson of Metropolis, Ill.; son, William C. Davidson and wife Shilo of Waterbury, Conn.; daughter, Frances Dorso of Prospect, Conn.; five grandchildren, Adoria and Sophia Davidson, both of Waterbury, Conn., Chelsea, Brooke and Nicholas Dorso, all of Prospect, Conn.; sister, Elizabeth Czarnecki and husband John of Metropolis, Ill.; brother, Mark Davidson of Metropolis, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews including Shawn Czarnecki of Metropolis, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Davidson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.
