BROOKPORT, Ill. — Mr. Wayne Bickham, age 96, of Brookport, Ill., passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Massac Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Bealmear will officiate.

Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Metropolis, and he was retired from Cargill Grain Company.

Wayne is survived by two sons, Wayne Bickham Jr. and wife Vivian of Temple, Texas, and William Bickham of Brookport, Ill.; four grandchildren, Wayne Bickham III of Dallas, Texas, Tony Bickham of Austin, Texas, Angela Bickham of Paducah, Ky., and Kent Bickham of Brookport, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine (Stine) Bickham; his wife of 71 years, Marjorie Bickham; his daughter-in-law, Joyce Bickham; his sister, Irene Carpenter; his brother, Glenn I. Bickham; and an infant brother.

There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
