SMITHLAND — Wave Johnson, 78, of Smithland died Tuesday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

She was a housewife.

She is survived by her husband, William H. Johnson; two sons, Karyol Johnson of Paducah and Daryl Johnson of Smithland; one brother, Wavel McDonald of Tiline; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Johnson. Her parents were Oldron McDonald and Ida Robert Gaines McDonald.

A memorial service will be held later. Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
