Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Douthitt of West Paducah recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon for family and friends at Whaler’s Catch French Quarter hosted by their children. The luncheon was followed by a reception at the Douthitt home.

Mr. Douthitt and the former Wanda Ward were married Aug. 11, 1962, in a private ceremony.

Mrs. Douthitt is a registered nurse retired from Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Mr. Douthitt is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from General Electric Co. in Mount Vernon, Ind.

They have one son, Jeffrey Douthitt of Kevil; one daughter, Jan Murphy of Acworth, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
