NORTONVILLE, Ky. — Wanda Kathryn Lanier, “Kay,” native of Nortonville, Ky., and resident of Baton Rouge, La., passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the age of 82 after a long illness.
Kay attended high school in Nortonville, Ky., and her hobbies consisted of knitting, music, reading, and golf. She was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Her activities included Nursing Home Ministry, Church Organist/Pianist, Church Secretary, and Church Librarian. Kay will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Robert Lanier; her daughter, Tamara Wallace; two sons, Michael Woodward and Barry Lanier; two sisters, June Alexander and Geneva Rodgers; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbetrice and Gertrude Key; and brothers, Durwood and Garland Key.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 9 a.m. until Religious services at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Sandy Sherman.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers are TJ Stokes, Duane Wallace, Kyle Lofton, Kevin Lofton, Jessie Garcia, and Joshua Potter.
