MURRAY — Wanda Sue Bazzell Brown, 70, of Murray died Tuesday at her home.

She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, the former owner and operator of the Beauty Box and the Main Event, and an instructor for Ezell Beauty School. She worked at the Oaks Country Club pro shop and was a golfing instructor.

She is survived by one daughter, Monica Lucas of Murray; four sisters, Betty Parrish, Jo Ann Sliger, Evelyn Jean Self, and Diane Tindell, all of Murray; two brothers, Ralph and Dennis Sliger, both of Murray; and six grandchildren.

Her parents were Waylon Bazzell and Vivian Bean Sliger; her stepfather was H.L. Sliger. She also was preceded in death by one sister and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating, with entombment in Murray Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
