Thomas and Linda Vollmar of Villa Hills announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Carolin Vollmar, to Dr. Matthew William Mangino, son of Joseph Mangino and Virginia Hunt, both of Paducah.

Miss Vollmar is the granddaughter of Catherine Downing of Covington and the late Vernon Downing, and the late Carl and Madeline Vollmar. She is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Park Hills, a 2005 graduate of the University of Louisville and a 2007 graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a master’s degree in education. She is a teacher employed by the Simon Kenton High School in Independence.

Dr. Mangino is the grandson of the late Leo and Agnes Cash, and the late Michael and Lillian Mangino. He is a 1997 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah, a 2002 graduate of Murray State University and a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He is a dentist with Paducah Dental Care.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. June 30 at The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington.
