Mr. and Mrs. John A. Williams Sr. of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Doe’s Eat Place on Friday hosted by their family.

Mr. Williams and the former Vivian Lenora Gray were married Aug. 25, 1962, at Baptist Tabernacle Church in Paducah with Dr. Fredrick Schlaefer and Robert Brooks officiating. Their attendants were Lynne Gholson Warfield and Carl Pfanstiel.

Mrs. Williams is a retired private tutor. She is the daughter of Dora Gray of Paducah and the late Howard Z. Gray.

Mr. Williams is the founder and chairman of Computer Services, Inc. He is the son of the late Houston and Nina Williams.

They are the parents of John Williams Jr. of Paducah, Kevin Williams of Collierville, Tenn., and Brett Williams of Franklin, Tenn. They have eight grandchildren.
