BENTON — Virginia Elouise Edwards, 74, of Benton died Saturday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gail Edwards; and one daughter, Beverly Joyce Lynch. Her parents were Robert Lynn Knight and Virgie Ray Knight.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Gail Story of Smithland and Melissa Renee Amis of Calvert City; two sons, Freddie Jean Edwards and Gary Steve Edwards, both of Benton; three brothers, Bobby Jean Knight and William Albert Knight, both of Murray, and Jimmy Glenn Knight of Gilbertsville; two sisters, Elizabeth Borens of Benton and Margie Dickson of Cadiz; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Collier Funeral Home with David Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Marshall County Memorial Gardens in Benton. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
