MURRAY — Virginia Dare Scott Chandler, 92, of Murray died Wednesday at Spring Creek Health Care.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and worked for Garment Factory-Calloway County Manufacturing Company.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy S. Noel of Murray; two sons, Douglas E. Show of Jackson, Tenn., and Craig S. Chandler of Murray; a sister, Nell Cothran of Brook, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Barbara J. Lindsey and Shirley Byassee, both of Bardwell, and Phyllis A. Colley of Paducah; four stepsons, Jimmy Chandler of Birmingham, Ala., Randall Chandler of Paducah, Larry Chandler of Wickliffe and Donnie R. Chandler of Bardwell; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 17 stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Chandler; a daughter, Patricia McMeen; a stepson, Darrell Chandler; two sisters; and five brothers. Her parents were Alvin and Tempie Dixon Scott.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
